Who we are
When Shuttersmith was set up in 2002, the aim was simple – enjoy every single day of our lives, working with like-minded people who value our approach and who are prepared to give us the freedom to deliver truly creative solutions. We eat, sleep, and dream about creating content that will blow your socks off and get you real, measurable, tasty results.
Thanks to our long list of accommodating clients, we’ve achieved our business goal but we continue to develop. We aim to always bring new and accessible ideas to the table. We’ve also discovered some top talent along the way, most of whom we’ve hired. Our team now is made up of photographers, editors, videographers, copywriters, animators, designers, marketeers, communicators, researchers, art directors, artworkers, web developers, illustrators, producers and, most recently, some social media and marketing boffs. Our founder, Robert Smith, was a Presenter and Executive Producer at the BBC & ITV and has decades of media experience under his belt.
Our aim is to work with people for life, which is why we form retained partnerships and behave more like business partner than supplier.

We’ve created 1000’s of pieces of work from marketing films, brand imagery, corporate books, social media content, live production, sales promotion campaigns, art directed umpteen photoshoots and have even directed & produced TV series. From food to finance, healthcare to human resources. We get to know your business, so we can deliver compelling and entertaining content.
